Stainless pad shims with M6 screws pistons are 38mm and 42mm

BMW E38 - 7 series - originaly Black with no logo

355mm x 28mm max disc size but can be spaced to 32mm thick

Fiat on Left - E38 on Right

E38 Fixing bolts are at 112mm centres - threaded M12 x 1.5

fluid inlet is central between pistons angled up with M10 x 1 taper seat

No pad shims

pistons are 40mm and 44mm - standard are alloy - these are Stainless replacements

Peugeot 406 - originally Black

325mm x 28mm max disc size

Fixing bolts are at 82mm centres - 12mm clearance holes with an odd off-set which makes them difficult to use straight fit on many Peugeot models

fluid inlet is central between pistons with M10 x 1 taper seat

Stainless pad shims with M6 screws pistons are 38mm and 42mm

Fiat Left - E38 Right

Note that the Fiat caliper is symmetrical & will run either way up - the E38 can be run up side down in front of the the axle but it makes for interesting pipework

Alfa 166 - 150mm fixing centres with M12 x 1.5 thread

Pistons are 38mm and 42mm

Fluid inlet M10 x 1 with a taper seat again, designed to fit forward of the axle

Evo - all up to 9

As you can see, the fluid inlet means it only fits well in front of the axle - it's M10 x 1 with a taper seat

Pistons are 38mm and 42mm and shorter than the more common calipers

Maserati - these are the all alloy type - not to be confused with the iron / alloy type borrowed from Mercedes

symmetrical so easily fitted in front or behind the axle

Fixing bolts are at 110mm centres - 12mm clearance holes

fluid inlet is central between pistons with M10 x 1 taper seat

Stainless pad shims with M6 screws pistons are 38mm and 46mm

Will run a 32mm thick disc up to 355mm max

Original Ford Focus RS

lower - upper is more common Fiat

Note the handed fluid inlet port.

Banjo fitting only as the hole goes straight through to the piston

You can see that the pads are the same shape as the Fiat caliper.

The stainless shims are the same too.

Note also, the casting shape to suit a larger disc - Fiat is 325mm max - 350mm is possible with the Focus RS

You can see here that the casting is larger and the bolts that hold the two halves together are further apart

Fixing holes are also M12 x 1.75 and at 130mm centres
